Workstep

Workstep is a government funded programme devised to support anyone with a long-term illness or disability by providing assistance in finding and sustaining suitable employment.
Workstep is designed to:-
- Enable you to work effectively in a job – focus on yours and your employer's needs.
- Provide the support for you and your employer needed to fit your requirements.
- Help you improve and develop your skills and your job prospects.

Workstep offers:
- Confidential one to one support and guidance on finding employment or further training.
- Advice on benefits and how they might be affected if you start work.
- Agreed development/action plan.
- Help with job search and approaching employers.
- Help with completing c.v.'s and application forms.
- Practice with job interviews.
- On going support in the work place.
- Assistance with travel expenses.
- Financial support to provide training in work.
We can offer Workstep if:-
- You have a mental health issue
AND
- You are claiming benefit and looking for work for 16 hours or more per week
OR
- You are currently in work and could be at serious risk of losing your job.
